The ALOE Working Group invited abstracts for papers which would share innovative, new ideas and evidence based good practice. Key themes include:
Design for assessment
- strategies for assessment of learning;
- good practice in assessing learning outcomes constructive alignment;
- negotiated learning contracts.
Holistic approaches to programme design
- the role of professional accreditation in informing curriculum design;
- curriculum design for assessment;
- leadership and management of change.
Abstracts should be submitted by email to enquiries@aloe.ac.uk by 16 May 2008.
Style Guide
Case study submission information
The ALOE WG have put together a case study template to aid those invited to make a full submission. Download the case study template.
- Case studies should not exceed 2000 words in length.
- The title should describe the main theme of the case study.
- Text should be in clear, concise, grammatical English, using English and not US spelling. SI units should be used.
- Abstracts of no more than 250 words must be included.
- Full submissions should be made for peer review electronically in a Microsoft Word or rtf PC compatible format by email to enquiries@aloe.ac.uk by 22 August 2008
- Please use arial font, 11 point, single line spacing.
- All illustrations, figures, photographs, tables, boxes etc should be referenced in the text.
- Clearly indicate the level of main headings and sub-headings.
- Citations to relevant published work should follow the Harvard style
- Where acronyms are used, their full expression should be given when first used, with the acronym in brackets following.
Include:
- Case Study title.
- Full names and affiliations of all authors.
- Contact email information for principal author.
Filenames
For ease of identification, please use the principal author’s surname and abstract reference number as the filename for your paper.
